【摘要】:ThisPartofBS7371specifiesrequirementsforcoatingsappliedbytheelectrolysisofsolutionsofcopper,nickelorchromium.Thecoatingsconsistprincipallyofcopper,nickelorchromiumandarenotusuallylubricated.NOTE1.Thecorrosionresistanceforhighergradecoatingscanbeimprovedbyusingtwolayer(duplex)nickelcoatingsorspecialtypesofchromiumdeposit.NOTE2.Thesurfacesmoothnessandbrightnessofthesubstratewillinfluencetheappearanceandcorrosionprotectionafterplating.InadditiontotherequirementsinthisPartofBS7371,therequirementsinPart1ofthestandardwhichareapplicabletocopper,nickelandchromiumelectroplatedcoatingsapply.ThisPartofBS7371alsospecifiesrequirementsforthefollowing:a)thecoatingthicknessofcomponentmetalsinthecoating;b)thetypeandthicknessofchromiumcoatingtobeapplied,ifrequired;c)qualityassessmentofthecorrosionresistanceofunusedcoatedpartswhensubjectedtoneutralsaltspraytestingorcopperaceticsaltspraytesting(seeforexampleBS7479:1991);d)adhesiontest.Annexesincludetablesindicatingsuitablecoatinggradesforstandardscrewthreadsandmethodsofdeterminationofcoatingthickness.
